After the next ten days, I will be in Japan. All of these little time benchmarks keep flying past faster and faster. One month, two weeks,... I am considerably excited, and more than a little anxious. I've tried to speak and write just a little bit more these past few days, and simple phrases and grammar are now quite difficult to recall. For the remaining days, I hope I can find time to take an hour out of each day to get some practice in.
Depending on how I organize updates, there is a chance that I will be switching blog providers so that I can have just a few more aesthetic tools at my disposal.
It is rather unfortunate that just as the campus has started growing and pulling its students back, that I have to depart. It has been really fun to spend the summer here and see people outside of their normally stressed and crazy college lives. It's just so much nicer to be with people when they aren't preoccupied with essays or other worries.
That is all I can think to put up at the moment. Eventually I'll get some picture bots posted.
Yeah, picture bots is what this place needs.

Catching the Wind
Welcome, friends! This will be the site that I will be using to keep track of my travels and experiences, pictures and learnings while studying abroad in Kyoto, Japan this coming year. I will likely move this blog into Japanese from time to time. In such cases, I'll try to translate back into English when time allows.
At this moment, I am a little more than two weeks out of heading out of the States, and this blog will document my feeble attempts at studying and getting ready before leaving.
